04/J/114/VS8 is published as Bowl/lamp in Matthew J. Adams, The Early Bronze Age Pottery from Area J, Megiddo V (2013), Fig. 8.6:11 (table p. 308; drawing p. 309). Published table comments: Fine Pinkish Fabric, soot on rim.
Phase J-6b, Room 2, Area J. The chapter treats this material as occupational remains, but notes repeated floor raisings and difficulty locating the J-6b/J-6a boundary in Room 2 (p. 305). Early Bronze III is the attributed phase chronology, not an exact manufacture date.
Fabric descriptions are macroscopic observations under a 10x hand lens (pp. 295-296, 305, 324). FPF and FPF+ are fabric groups, with variants differing in inclusion ratios/coarseness; they do not establish a geological source or workshop.
The chapter suggests possible drinking use for the bowls; soot on some rims indicates lamp use, interpreted as secondary within the assemblage (p. 305). That interpretation is not assigned as a demonstrated use to every bowl.
Absolute phase chronology: Regev, Finkelstein, Adams and Boaretto (2014), Wiggle-Matched 14C Chronology of Early Bronze Megiddo and the Synchronization of Egyptian and Levantine Chronologies, pp.243,257–260. The date range is an approximate contextual phase attribution, not a direct date of the vessel. Broad envelope across J-6b/J-6a because the specimen attribution between those phases remains uncertain.
