Clay matrix is clayey material and strongly homogeneous, making up 70-80% of the sample. Clay material is medium to light brown and orangish under XPL and dark to medium brown under PPL. Striations appear in the petrographic sample, especially observable under PPL directing in a similar diagonal pattern. Inclusions consist of 20-30% of the sample and are poorly sorted. Inclusions include biotites ranging from .05 mm to .2 mm and equant angular to sub-angular in shape. Amounts of quartz exist in the sample, .1 mm to .3 mm in size and equant sub-rounded. Siltstone lithic fragments measure .1 mm to .25 mm and elongated sub-rounded shape. Feldspars are frequent in the sample varying from .05 mm to .3 mm in size and are equant sub-angular to sub-rounded. Voids are vughs in shape and equate to around 5% of the sample.
