General InformationThis is the most common local fabric, throughout the Roman period, until the 7th century, with peaks in the mid 1st to late 2nd century CE and in the fifth century CE.
Description
O33.2: Finer than O33.1, this is an oxidised red fabric which is hard, with an irregular fracture and powdery feel. It has
inclusions of common silver mica and common poorly sorted sub-rounded black sand up to 0.8 mm, moderate rounded
lime at 0.4 mm, some flint or shell also possible.
