A number of kiln sites have been noted in the vicinity of Ras el Bassit, and a few were investigated by Courbin (1986) near the Iron Age tell site and on the acropolis. Wasters of amphora, dolia, mortaria, basins, cooking vessels, roof tiles etc. are found around the extent of the settlement and a number of possible kiln sites have been noted for future research.
