General Information
Transjordan Highland Slipped Ware is made from the Transjordan Highland Terra Rossa petro-fabric. The ware is exclusively represented by table vessels. The interior surfaces of these table vessels are consistently covered by a thin, dull red slip, from which the ware gets its name. Most of the observed forms in the ware are derivative of African Red Slip forms dating to the 4th and 5th centuries CE.
