General Information
Nile Silt clay, homogenous texture, fired in oxidizing atmosphere. Surface wet-smoothed or covered in a thin red-slip. Closed vessels sometimes carry red or white painted decoration.
Nile Silt clay, fine to medium fine texture. Fine sand and micas visibles, some vegetal temper. Red-orange break with orange to grey core.
