General Information
The Tell el-Yahudiya ware is characterized by its distinctive mode of decoration applied, which is repeatedly punctuating on the surface of the vessel to create mainly geometrical but also other designs such as faunal and floral designs. The punctures are often being filled with chalk. The vessels were also incised to delineate the punctured registers and to create designs.The Tell el- Yahudiya ware is primary appeared as juglets and also includes a variety of other shapes. The Tell el-Yahudiya vessels were mainly wheel-made but several types were hand-made. The firing of the vessels was in oxidizing as well as in reduction atmosphere.
