Fine, orange buff fabric (7.5YR 5/4). Few visible inclusions and voids. Evenly fired.

P.H. 3.3, Est. Base D. 8.5, Th. 0.6 (floor) and 0.35 (wall)

Dining/Drinking/Serving

Dark gray metallic slip evenly applied to whole interior and slightly unevenly applied to whole exterior, with the exception of the bottom of the ring base. Center of the interior floor preserves three stamped palmettes surrounded by a ring of incised rouletting. On the exterior, the wall-floor juncture has worn the slip away. The outside of the attachment between the foot and the floor preserves tool marks covered in slip and also a single incised tool mark arount the exterior that is unslipped. The inside of the attachment is smoothed and slipped. In the center of the floor on the exterior, a mark (perhaps a maker's mark?) is is incised offset from the center, in the shape of an X.
