This bowl is an example of Type BL2a, which are simple conical bowls with straight walls and a plain rim (Martin 2011: 34). Although these types of bowls are usually made from Nile clay fabric, the corpus from Beth She'an are made from locally produced southern Levant fabrics (Martin 2011: 35).
