This bowl is an example of a Type BL1a simple spherical bowl with rounded walls, a plain rim, and a flat base (Martin 2011: 30-31). This bowl was found at Tel Sera's Building 1924, a building with a large courtyard feature, exposed in the southern portion of Area A (Martin 2011: 222).
