Dark gray slip overall except on upper exterior wall, which is fired nearly black (N2.5/) from stacking in the kiln. Alternately rough and smooth bands visible on the interior under a raking light. Body decorated with three horizontal grooves at top of wall and pairs of grooves below; a pattern of repeated triangles with a central axis formed with 3 strokes separated by a vertical pair that begins as a squiggle and becomes a vertical stroke.
