Ferruginous, slightly foraminiferous matrix with c. 5% of silty quartz and tiny opaque specks of iron oxide. The sand-size non-plastic inclusions compose c. 15% of the volume of the sherd and comprise 0.1––0.3 mm dolomite crystals, decomposed to cryptocrystalline and/or milky in the course of firing. Apart from dolomite there are larger (0.5–0.7 mm) aggregates of these crystals with calcareous cement, fine-sand size foraminifers and nodules of ferruginous silty Terra Rossa soil. Firing temperature estimated >750C.
