Description

Ferruginous clay with some calcareous sand quartz silt and dolomite silt. The bulk fabric is clayey reddish in PPL with opaque minerals (5%, 50μm). The silt (~15%), is composed mostly of quartz and includes small amounts of feldspars and other heavy minerals. There are very few inclusions ( ~5%) and consist of fine well-sorted sub-angular quartz (up to 120μm), and a few intraclasts ooid grainstone with quartz silt (100μm).
