Clay matrix is very silty and considerably heterogeneous, constituting 65-70% of the fabric. Clay is brown and orange under XPL and light to medium brown under PPL. Inclusions comprise around 25-30% of the fabric and are very poorly sorted. Fabric contains large quantities of feldspars and altered feldspars (plagioclase and orthoclase), with most measuring from .05 mm to .15 mm and some in excess of .4 mm in size. Minerals include both small biotites around .02 to .03 mm in size as well as present opaque minerals around .2 mm (equant angular). Sandstone lithic fragments appear in the fabric, ranging from .05 mm to .15 mm and equant angular in shape. Moderate amounts of quartz mineral grains can be observed in the sample, sub angular t...
