The clay is dark brown in PPL, non-calcareous clay with some iron oxides. There is ~40% silt composed mostly of quartz. The inclusions are mainly moderately sorted, sub rounded quartz (~20% to 100μm). There is also 30% poorly sorted sub angular calcareous inclusions.
