Description

Ferruginous clay matrix, optically inactive. Fine quartz, plagioclase, ambhibole/hornblende, clinopyroxenes and micas are main constituents. Significant is the dense enrichment with coarse organics/chaff, obviously an intentional addition to the clay by means of technological enhancement.
