The fabric is comprised of dark-reddish marl and shale; it is slightly optically active, silty, and double-spaced with ~15% voids. The non-plastic inclusions are 15% sub-rounded to angular shale (120-800 μm), 5% sub-angular to rounded opaque minerals (40-150 μm); some: sub-rounded to rounded foraminifera (40-180 μm, amphiroa?), rhomboid dolomite (30-70 μm).
