Description


The fabric is a silty, brown, and dolomitic marl, single-spaced with ~20% voids. The non-plastic inclusions are: 20% sub-angular to sub-rounded calcareous concretions (80-850 μm, dolomitic), 5% sub-rounded to angular quartz (20-350 μm), 3% sub-angular to sub-rounded limestone (40-400 μm), 5% sub-rounded to rounded shale/clay pellets (50-500 μm); some: sub-rounded to rounded opaque minerals (30-100 μm), rounded foraminifera (40-80 μm), rhomboid dolomite (30-90 μm); rare: sub-angular mica (30-60 μm), sub-angular to angular chert (50-100 μm).
