Description
Also published as ‘amphora fabric 43’. This was first identified in the amphorae, but appears equally as kitchen ware: dense-heavy, red brown (can be fired more yellow) with a granular-coarse break. Abundant limestone fragments is characteristic, with quartz and moderate red brown iron oxide lumps (see David Williams thin section description). Well fired.
