This ware was used for the production of Mortaria heavy bowls dated to the Persian period and found in Southern Phoenicia (northern coastal plain of modern-day Israel).
It is associated (and perhaps identical) with the various Gjerstad's "Cypriot plain white wares" dated to the Classical period.
Porous light fabric with many gray, reddish and white sub angular to sub rounded inclusions.
