General Information
Description
Fine or very fine yellowish brown, light brown or reddish yellow fabric (10YR6/4, 10YR5/4, 7.5YR6/4, 7.5YR6/6), medium-soft to soft with few to medium small or small and medium black, white and occasionally red inclusions; often with a light or dark core. Surfaces are well-smoothed and in some cases covered with a matt or lustrous self-slip. Decoration is in matt red to red-brown paint (2.5YR5/6, 2.5YR4/6). Frequently bowl interiors are covered with red-brown paint or slip. Motifs include straight and wavy lines, zigzags, fringed lines, chevrons and lattice and ladder-pattern panels. Decoration is often present on the exterior base.
