Shipwreck located at some 2 meters of depth and covering ca. 35 x 6 meters an area. Not excavated (and plundered); the wreck was originally preserved in a sort of mound, covered by the ballast stones (partially spolia). Probably sunk because of a fire, it must have been a military ship, possibly to be related to Justinian's operations in southern Italy in the first half/middle of the 6th c. The cargo includes tableware, tools, amphoras; among these latter, Late Roman Amphora 1 (LRA 1) are reported as prevalent.
