This group combines an assortment of calcareous clays, the shared trait of which is their set of inclusions (see below). Dark brown silty clays with a rich calcareous silt to fine sand content are the dominant variant. In clays of this group aeolian quartzitic silt occurs in moderate amounts (4–7%). Similar to petro-fabrics PG1a, PG2 and PG4, the non-plastic component is dominated by rounded to sub-rounded, often spherical quartz sand (generally up to 525 µm; average grain size: 200–250 µm), forming 10–15% of the slide area.
