Mafic Group: Calcareous dark brown matrix, low optical activity. Contains larger inclusions (500µm-1mm) including serpentine, feldspar-sericite, amphibole, K-feldspar. In the matrix small biotite grains are identified (<100µm). Overall this group is characterized by minor microporosity (<50 µm).
