Matrix is ferruginous silty clay, where the silt of aeolian origin composes up to 20% of the sherds’ volumes. It comprises mainly quartz, lesser quantities of plagioclase, and tiny dots of iron oxides. Sand-size inclusions within the thin-section are one sub-rounded 0.8 mm grain of cryptocrystalline limestone, one rounded 0.9 mm ferruginous oolith, and several 0.3-0.8 mm lumps of clay same as matrix.
