Description

Optically active. Quartz is the main inclusion with minor polycrystalline quartz, K-feldspar, iron oxides, opaques, iron-rich clay pellets w/inclusions, muscovite, pyroxene, and sandstone with no matrix or iron-rich matrix. The 10% of inclusions are fairly sorted, very fine to medium in size (except the larger clay pellets) and angular to subrounded. This appears as the typical Byzantine clay for Bahariya Oasis but with fewer iron-rich clay pellets, no plant remains, and fewer inclusions than other samples
