This is a pithos fabric that is encountered regularly but always in small quantities (usually loners) in the pithos assemblages that I have analyzed from south-southwestern Cyprus. The secondary nonplastic components (if any) are not the same: at Alassa there are some mudstones, at Laona (Palaepaphos) some metamorphics, at Hadjiabdoulla (Palaepaphos) almost nothing else. Maybe somebody can provide information on its origin or if it has been encountered as a common (or rare) fabric in another pithos assemblage somewhere in Cyprus.
