Horvat Husham (380 m asl), overlooking Nahal Yarmut west of Beit Shemesh, preserves a substantial EB IB1 settlement associated with the Erani C horizon (ca. 3300–3150 BCE) (Hemed et al. 2023). Excavations exposed domestic units, storage facilities, public and cultic architecture, and pottery-production areas, including stone-built horseshoe-shaped kilns with central pillars and short stoking channels in Areas B, F, and J. A workshop in Area B included two slow wheels (tournettes), stone grinding tools, bronze awls, and abundant vessels.
