Erkan Dündar is an associate professor of archaeology at Akdeniz University in Antalya, Turkey. His research focuses on pottery, commercial amphorae and stamps, and late classical to early Hellenistic defense and domestic architecture in ancient Lycia. He earned his Ph.D. at Akdeniz University and is the author of "Transport Jars and Stamped Amphoras from Patara, 7th to 1st Centuries BC. The Maritime Trade of a Harbor City in Lycia, Patara IV.3 (Istanbul 2017)." He is serving as a field supervisor for the Tepecik settlement at Patara excavations. His current projects include a study of continuity, change, or transformation in daily life during the Hecatomnids, Diadochoi, and Ptolemaic dominance of Patara.
