Dr. Paul Flesher is a historian of Judaism with an expertise in Judaism during the Hellenistic and Roman periods in the Levant. Originally trained in the History of Religions, Paul has spent many years participating in excavations and surveys--most notably Tel Miqne-Ekron, Huqoq and Legio. He is particularly interested in the re-formation of Judaism and its worship following the Temple's destruction in 70 CE and the rise of synagogues as places of worship.
