This is a medium-fine clay paste characterised by a few inclusions of diorite. However, most dominantly present is micritic limestone, accompanied by fine quartz. Traces of plagioclase, hornblende, serpentinite, biotite, chert and benthic foraminifera have been noticed as well. Based on the nature of inclusions, this clay paste derives from an igneous and sedimentary environment. As, amongst other, roof tiles are represented in this clay paste in Limyra and based on the fact that also coarser versions of this paste have been recognised in the area (i.e. Petrofabric LIM-CALC/DIORITE_01) a local or regional provenance in the Bay of Finike (Lycia) needs to be considered.
