Description

Fabric is tan-brown (PPL) with occasional opaque ferruginous concretions. Silt is ca. 3% of the slide area, primarily comprised of calcareous material. Aplastic inclusions range from coarse (700 microns) to very fine (130 microns) sand-sized grains, sub-angular to sub-rounded. Calcareous material is dominant (and calcite has reformed in some of the voids), chert is common, few iddingsite, very few micas, rare chlorite. The same fabric is attested in an LR1 from 'Iraq al-Amir ('Iraq al-Amir AE61.11.2.26.219) in Jordan.
